Privacy statement
Last updated on 28 September 2026. If this translation and the Dutch version differ, the Dutch version applies.
In short
Lounjy keeps your data on your own device. We have no ads and no tracking, and we don’t see what you watch. Your login details are stored encrypted and never go to us.
Who we are
Lounjy is made by WebKracht12, Kerkhoefweg 3, Veghel, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 42038076). We are responsible for the data described in this statement. Send privacy questions to support@lounjy.app.
What the app stores on your device
To work, Lounjy stores the following only on your own device:
- Your playlist details: the server address, your username and your password, or your M3U link. The password is encrypted in the secure storage of Windows or Android.
- What your service provides: the channel list, films, series and the TV guide, so Lounjy starts quickly.
- How you use the app: favourites, recent channels, where you left off in a film or series, your own layout and your settings.
We can’t access any of this. If you remove Lounjy from Android, this data is gone. On Windows, your playlists and settings stay after uninstalling, so you don’t lose anything if you reinstall. To remove them as well, delete Lounjy’s folder in %APPDATA%.
What the app connects to
- Your IPTV service, and the TV guide link if you entered one. That service sees your IP address, your login details and what you play, as with any player. What that service does with it is described in its own privacy statement. We have no influence over that.
- Our update server, only if you installed Lounjy with the separate installer. Lounjy then checks now and then whether a new version is available. The server sees your IP address and the app version, as with any website. We only use this to deliver the update and keep the server logs for no more than 14 days.
- Your phone, if you choose With your phone. Your details then go straight from your phone to your device, inside your own home network, and not over the internet or through us.
- Google Play or the Microsoft Store, if you install Lounjy or buy something there. Their own privacy statements apply.
Lounjy contains no advertising code and no third-party analytics or tracking services.
If you buy Plus
To make Plus work on multiple devices, we link your licence to your email address. We only store that email address, the licence and on which devices it is active (a random device code, not a name or serial number). We only use this to make your licence work and to help you if something goes wrong.
Plus is not on sale yet. Once it is, this section will name the payment service you pay through (on Android, Google Play). We don’t see your payment details. We keep the details of your purchase for as long as accounting law requires (seven years in the Netherlands).
Crash reports and statistics
Lounjy doesn’t send crash reports or usage statistics unless you choose to in Settings. If you do, they are anonymous: no login details, no channel names and nothing about what you watch.
Backups
A backup is a file you create and keep yourself. It contains no passwords. We never see it.
Contacting us
If you email us, we only use your email address and what you write to answer your question. We keep those emails for no more than two years after our last contact.
This website
- We use no cookies, no analytics and no ads.
- The fonts are on our own server, so your browser doesn’t connect to anyone else.
- If you choose a language or day or night mode, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. We don’t see it.
- This website runs on Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect the site against attacks. We don’t keep visitor logs ourselves.
Why we may use data
- Your licence and purchase: to perform our agreement with you.
- Updates and server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the app safe and working.
- Crash reports: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings.
- Your questions to us: so we can answer them.
We don’t sell data and don’t share it with others, unless the law requires us to.
Your rights
You may ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You may also object, or receive your data in a file. Email support@lounjy.app for this. We respond within one month.
If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the data protection authority in your own country.
Changes
If we change this statement, we update the date at the top. For major changes, we also let you know in the app.
